Tell someone that a level 40 isn't a skiller.

I'm tired of seeing threads advertising "selling good skiller! 12m!" to find out that it's just a crappy 60-60-60 account with a good non-combat skill.

A skiller, as defined by the Runescape wikia found here is "a player that develops non-combat skills more often than combat skills, the amount of time spent developing non-combat skills rather than combat skills can vary. People who only train non-combat skills are referred to as skill pures"

another on-topic note is "If you are any higher than level 3 you are known as a "failed skiller" or a pure (someone that trains only 1 combat skill keeping their combat level as low as possible)."

I am proposing that users that post the selling of skillers that are above level 3 combat get punished the same way anyone else does who advertises falsely. (deletion of topic?)

You're contradicting yourself.
You stated that it turns out to be a 60-60-60 with good non-combat skills. That's what the quote says and it looks like you are agreeing with it.

 

I agree with your suggestion, maybe a little less harsh of a punishment. I also have to agree with techboy though, there was a little bit of contradiction in your post.

 

Skillers do not need to be lvl 3 only.

 

I agree with this completely.

It pisses me off to see someone selling a main as a "Skiller" or a "Potential Barrows Pure" in the Pures/skillers section. This should definitely be infractable + the thread should be deleted.

 

Look a skiller doesn't have to only have non-combat stat, you could be a combat skiller which is really a pure.

 

They're just names, geez.

Skillers and Pures can be mixed!

 

A skiller is a level 3 who focuses on non-combat skills. I think Sythe should just force people to put the combat level on their thread titles just so people get to know about it before clicking on the thread.

 

I agree in the sense that people will sell a level 80 with terrible 60 stats, etc and call it a pure because they feel it will sell better.

However, you can choose to ignore these. It would greatly exhaust the efforts of the staff to keep up with every mistake of a member and infract them in such a manner.

 

I know everyone who plays runescape if they here the word "skiller" they think of a level 3. Not a level 54 with 92 WC. Thats just like calling an account with 56 def a zerker pure

 

Then go into the Pures and Skillers; Characters: Levels 3-59 section, then look for a 'Level 3 Skiller with blah blah blah'.

 

Exactly. They aren't FAILED skillers. They just aren't skiller pures.

 

Skillers lvl 3 are "skill pures"; a level 40 or 60 can be a skiller, skiller just means that you focus on non-combat skills.
