    C4D's?

C4D's, for the most part, are used to 'spruce up' your signature. Personally, I rarely ever use c4d's but they can be quite effective.

Depending on the type of c4d, a c4d can be used for depth, flow, or even lighting.

I usually set it on Color Dodge or linear dodge(?). I believe it can be used for overlay, too, or basically anything.

You copy and paste that on (or drag it). Then resize if necessary (don't worry about trying to get the whole shape to fit on the sig). Then, set that on lighten, soft light, etc. Earse the parts that don't work well, and you can even change the color (Ctr+U). C4ds don't always work well with me, but I try. :p
Tell me if you need more help (or make a signature with a c4d in it).
Some c4ds that go in all directions ( I think there is one in Haunted's pack) work well because it can kinda create a flow or w/e.
