C# more simular to java than C++

Most people always think that if you know C++ it is practically like knowing C#. But honestly C# is more simular to java than it is to C++. C++ is a completly different language from C#. But then Java and C# are both microsoft based. Because of this they have more in common (having the same creators) and they have very simular commands

 

Java is NOT made by MicroSoft. Java was made built off of C and C++. C# was built of of Java completely and so was J#, J, and J++.

 

Olan is right - get your facts right. Plus what is this post meant to prove?

Microsoft based products aren't the best either ... look at the Zune lol ^_^
C# was made to convert Java users to a Microsoft based language so they can control more of the market. Whereas Java was made by programmers for programmers.

Java is built upon C++, but has C's Syntax.
C# Is built upon C++, but has a very similar syntax to Java's.
Out of a choice for a third gen C language, I choose Java. Java is multi-platform - NASA is even using it on Mission Critical Space Probes. Microsoft Visual C# can ONLY run on Windows.

I have been coding java apps for a year, but I got tired of it being really slow, so I switched over to C#. So much easier to do stuff with C# too, but anyway...Swan is correct.
