    Guide to football

    Hello and welcome to my guide on

    Guide to football
    And,before you all start flaming me that this is common sense please read the whole guide.
    Football Leagues
    Please note:For American's it's called soccer,ok lets carry on the mean leagues in the world of football are the Barclays Premier League and the Spanish League the winners of the league gets a cup,Manchester United have won the Premier League 3 times in a row,and the Spanish League is usually Real Madrid V Barcelona here are some pictures of the trophy's

    That's the Barclays Premier League trophy.
    Now for the Spanish League trophy.

    Positions
    There are many positions in football,such as Goalkeeper Defender Midfield And striker the funnest one in my opinion in Striker as you score alot of goals :D
    I will put the best person in each position in my opinion you might have a better one,
    Goalkeeper=Casillas
    Defender=Rio Ferdinand
    Midfielder=Cristiano Ronaldo
    Striker=Lionel Messi
    now for the next part tacticts.
    Tactics
    [IMG]
    There are alot of tactics in Football,theres being a plain person who skills everyone and scores loads,Ronaldo And Messi are great at it so mainly if your very fast thats the tactic for you
    If your not that fast id advise playing CM (center midfield) as all you really do is pass but the good part is that your in the game you go upfield and downfield if your quite fast you can still play CM too as it would make you alot more in the game
    If you have a alot of strength your best tactic would be to stay back and defend and help your team not concede goals and Goalkeeper if you have strength and the abillity to jump high then goalkeeper is the position for you :p next part,
    Teamwork
    When you play football its not a game you play on your own its a team game so i suggest you remember that alot of professional players think their better then everyone and can win by thereself teamwork is needed to start up a goal by passing it around and opening up gaps in the opponent's defence ok next part.
    Practicing
    If you want to become a great football player you will need to practice ALOT as Ronaldo after training stays for 2 hours more to improve heres some tips for practicing,try taking free kicks against your friend who would be in goals and also try to get involved with games for your school such as the school football team

    The Important Rules of Football/Soccer
    Offside-In Football a player being offside gives a Free-kick to the other team offside is kinda hard to explain but i'll try :p
    Offside is when a player is ahead of all the other team players and when a player passes to him he touches the ball above the all the other team's players except the goalkeeper here is a picture examplem[IMG]
    Fouling-When a player does a bad tackle on another player the other team gets a free kick free kicks are good chances to score such players as Ronaldo,Messi,And Ronaldinho are very good at free kicks

    Guide to football

    The guide was very short and a bit jumbled in terms of the vocabulary. I'd strongly advise you go through it with a spell checker, and fix any of the grammar errors.

    It seems like you know a fair bit about professional football players, but seeing as I don't watch or play football, (well to me it's soccer) then it would help if you elaborated some more on said players and the teams they're on.

    As for the game itself, you didn't really describe it. We need 'more than a 2 word rundown of each position. Go into detail on how each position works. As well tell us about the layout on the field and perhaps some major rules of the game we should be aware of.

    A final note, it needs more pictures. Pictures that will actually aid your guide. While the trophy picture seems cool, it does very little in helping people who are new to the game, like myself, and would like to know more.

    All in all though, I like the effort you put in and it's a nice guide. There is just a lot of room for improvement, so I hope to see you take some of my advice and incorporate it into this guide!
