Hi, sorry if this isn't the right place to post but i'm looking to sell the main i've played on for the last 8-9 years and need some advice on doing it.
It's 2152 total level with 134 combat level, and has about 30-40m wealth in gear and items, also has a chaotic staff and a relatively rare name.
Would it be realistic to aim for about $150 for this account? In addition how could I go about selling it?

I don't think anyone will trade with you dude, you have 1 post. People are very cautious when buying accounts and should be. Also you should post it in the runescape 3 main accounts level 100+ section. Include pictures.

What could i do to increase someone's trust in me?
Would using a middleman make the other person more willing to trade with me?
Also in the 100+ place they said you shouldn't post about price checks etc. and I didn't know where else to post sorry:/

 

Theres a other section for pricechecks. And people go off vouches etc. If you want to sell your account correctly like the person said read stickys etc and give everything you know about the account. Get vouches get trust

How exactly do I go about getting vouches?

 

Doing trades to gain trust. for example you could open a gold shop, and get some trust. go to the vouches section and make a thread. then link it in your signature is what most people do, (do this in the settings)

people will be willing to pay more when you become more trusted and so on and so forth, and will feel safer buying from you. don't scam though!

You have 4 posts and your username is: "wanttosellmyaccount". It's high unlikely that you're just going sell the account and move on from personal experience. Are you actually going to be done with the game once you sell said account?

 

Yeah I haven't properly played in about a year (and before that it's been on and off) and just thought it'd be a good idea to sell the account. If I use a middleman would I be more trustworthy?
Also if the account is a username one not a email one does that change things?

 

You wouldn't be deemed more trustworthy but it certainly would make the other party feel more at ease with the trade.

I'm not really sure about that. That's something someone else here can give you better information on.

 

yes it does kind of, although not that much. Basically it shows its and older account, and people like older accounts. it wont dramatically change the price however, as many people don't really care. if it is very old 10 years plus etc that is a selling factor however, as some people like the old accounts (again not much difference, but it does make a small one i guess for some people)

 

oh right, i'm in the process of emptying my bank now to collect the gp in a lump sum, might sell a few mil to get a vouch but not really sure if 1 will do it lol..

They will allow you to post your account with all the information and sell it on there for free and then take a small % of what you sell the account for. The benefit of this is you and the buyer are both legally liable. If you hack it back, you can be legally punished, and it is impossible for a buyer to scam because they go first, and are paying through a business that wont allow chargebacks.
