There is no scam/fraud involve, essentially I get you a better price due to their price match policy and the refund comes directly from the company to your original payment of method. Your booking will still remain active and also get the night credit towards your account program.

I charge 40% of your refund amount in order to use my service. If your booking is refundable, you will get your refund back to your original payment of method. If it's non-refundable, you will get the refund back as a coupon for hotels.com with an expiration date of 1 year.
