Use one of these two online free scanners.

• Virus Total
• Online Malware Scan - Jotti

Both these sites are very useful when it comes to scanning files.

 

Like venom1 said use a online scanner.

 

uhh... why are u scanning the torrent? u know its not the torrent that will have the virus , usually its the files you are torrenting.

 

if its a pdf there is close to nothing to worrry about...

 

Use an online scanner, but I suggest you get a well known torrent like BitTorrent and read the reviews before you download anything first. The torrents don't have the virus the things you torrent do.

TorrentReactor is plenty-trusted as well, but since people can upload whatever they want through .torrent files, many of the actual downloads may be infected. If there are no comments/reviews, and not too many "seeders," I would download the file (not the .torrent file, the file that is sent over the internet through the .torrent protocol). Then, before you click on ANY file that you just downloaded, scan the entire folder using AVG Free Virus Scanner (or any other offline file scanner, for that matter).

 

Use an online scanner, so you know if its dangerous before hand. like WoW said, thepiratebay.com is a good site, with not alot of viruses.

You're joking right? thepiratebay.org doesn't remove torrents so if a file has a virus, it stays there anyway. To be on the safe side, get a torrent with alot of seeds, and read the comments.

demonoid.com is another good site.
