Virtual V IRL

Over the years, the line between virtual and real life has been fading. People are buying\selling more gold\items for more games as time goes on. As people are doing this, this is forcing the games, to actually vier away from the context of the game.
Runescape is set in medieval times, apparently. But when you load up the homepage, you notice that factors of the game, that you\majority enjoy, has been removed for something based on the real world.
Runescape for some people is probably a place to build a new life, because theres in real is miserable. Yes this sounds sad, but im sure there are many cases. When a game has to loose one of its main factors to something based around real life.
The games have rules, those people who choose to break the rules are the people who deserve to get banned, but in actual fact, its the genuine players who are at the loss.
This is probably sounding about me whining about the new duel arena update, but it happens in many cases, other than this.

I am just wondering your thoughts on what you think should be done about it. Let all games allow real world trading?
keep forfeiting genuine players fun?
Discuss?

 

Well, weather real world trading in many games is allowed or not, it will still go on, along with rape, murder, ect.

I know that i'm comparing murder and rape to real world traiding but oh well, you get my point.

I think that some kids actually prefer an online game to real life, only because they can be the best in a game and no one really judges you on you're looks, weight, height, sexual orientation, ect.

Many kid i'm sure look forward to the next day only to get back on Runescape or Halo 3 online or whatever game it may be so they can be highly respected on that game compared to real life.

Those are my views.
