RSBot is always getting confused with RSBots, simply because of the name issues.
They are two totally different bots. RSBots is a reseller of the Nexus bot scripts.


Differences between the bots
PowerBot uses a method known in the programming world as BCEL. The BCEL method edits the actual code of the game client, therefore RS can easily use reflection methods to see that the code has been changed. We (RSBots.net) use color and reflection. Reflection reads the data and cannot be found because of the Java Security Class. We are higher in the stack. We can reflect down to RS, but RS cannot "look" back up

Ban differences and ban rates
All bans depend on how well the script is written. If it's just going to continuously do the same thing over and over again. It will obviously have a high ban chance. If it's a very random script (Does it's thing, but randomly does other stuff) it will have a very low ban chance.
For example, iDungeon Pro is a very LOW ban rate because of how much time was spent making it flawless.

If you get banned on a noob for botting, you will not be banned on your main(Unless you were botting your main)

Differences:
Macro-Minor Offense is given randomly, and you are lucky to have been given this and not a Major. Minor's are typically 14-day bans. It's suggested and recommended you do NOT appeal them, or they can/will convert into Macro Majors and become perm bans. These offenses are usually only issued to P2P players.

Macro-Major Offense is bad , and you will be perm banned from it.

No matter how amazing the script may seem, there ALWAYS will be a chance of getting banned.




What the BEST bot is
In my opinion and for many others, it's RSBots(rsbots.net)
RSBots only have scripts you have to pay for (Except for like 5 useless ones)
They have scripts for many of the popular "doings" in RS. Most scripts cost 10$+ but are worth it.
I do not suggest the Dungeon Script, as it's very expensive and worthless, very crappy xp/hr.

If you want a bot to do Dungeon for you, buy iDungeon Pro by Kiko, it's 10$ and is very amazing and user-friendly. (RSBuddy)




Bot Pros
They do the work for you.

Bot Cons
RSBot has had a horrible past with hackings. It's recommended you do NOT save your account password in the account manager.
RSBuddy has had some horrible connection issues in the past month or so, and it's hard to get the bot working. Once working, it's fine.
RSBots are very expensive, and has trouble with the Random Event Box(Doesn't do what you want it to do)




How do you add scripts?
RSBot
RSBot actually has a new way of compiling their scripts. You click "Add script" in the menu on the bot, and it asks for the Pastebin link of a script. If you put the link in, the bot will auto-download and compile it. A bit similar to RSBuddy's system, but nowhere near as easy.

Very simple, and probably the easiest.

You buy a script, and you are given an "auth code"
You open the bot, enter the information it asks for (You can set a password, highly recommended to avoid losing your auths/accounts!)
Enter the auth code, and click add. It should show up, and you can click "Continue" and start to bot.

Random Information/FAQ
Does having a hard-to-report name, make it better?
There is no "real" answer to this, there is to much opinionated posts about it. Just having a random name, in my opinion, would be better. So you can fit in with the rest of the community at the place you're botting.
What is the best thing to bot to make money?
Depends on the accounts current stats. Wc/Fish/Farm/Frost Drags

All f2p bots don't make much per hour.
Most common are fish/wc/rc/mine(ess/iron/coal)

You can buy nexus auths not only at rsbots.net but at www.oembots.com , www.rsbotting.com , www.rs2botting.com , http://rsbot.com , www.autofighter.org these are usually cheaper and most likely the same bots with the same developer but just different names on them.

Autofighter pro is not the same as Perfecticus fighter

You should clear up that Rsbot=/= RSbots, it's best off changing rsbot to powerbot as it'll be less confusing.

It's always BEST to check the forums of the bot you're going to buy BEFORE you buy it.

You can run an auth one multiple clients as long as they're all on the SAME IP.

Macro minor bans are usually issued to members.

I'll think of more later, but you should add those in =P

 

You can report anyone, they don't have to have talked in the past 60 secs. That's just for mutes.

Rsbots are resellers, they shouldn't be up there. If you want to include rscheeta which is the company that makes the nexus client then include that.

Having an un reportable name actually increases your chances of getting banned in my experience.

It's better to just blend in with the crowd.

@OP Should really take the un-reportable name thing off your thread. People have been complaining lately that they get banned for having those barcode names.

I skimmed through and didn't find anything else really wrong. This is a great thread and will help a lot of new and maybe even experienced botters.
