    Italian For Retards (Part I)

I am currently in Italian year 4 and speak the language nearly fluently. I decided to teach some basic italian to others.

    Well, lets get started!

    Greetings/Farewells:

Caio (chow) This greeting means both hello and goodbye. It is like a slang"ish" way of saying it.

Arrivederci (ahrivadarchi) A formal way of saying good bye

Salve (salveh) a more formal way to say hello

    Sentence Starters:

Come ti chiami (cohmeh tee kiahmee) This means "what is your name?"

To answer that you say: Mi chiamo _____ (or mi chiama_____) You fill in your name where the "____" is.

Come Stai (cohmeh st"eye") This means how are you.

You answer this with Sto Bene Grazie (stoh beneh gratzie) which means very good thank you.

That's some basics. I will be back with Italian For Retards (Part II) shortly.
