PayPal questions.

I am looking at setting up a deal with a long term buyer, who says that it would be possible for him to use a method called "Claim dispute and cancel" in which he would claim a dispute against me before i give him the gold and then cancel it, then I give. Apparently after this, he cannot re-claim the gold.

1. Does this put me at risk of my account becoming limited?
2. Does this mean that he cannot charge back?

 

I'm pretty sure he could still chargeback if hes using a credit card

 

Best bet is to take moneypaks since those are treated same as cash. They can be loaded directly to your paypal. If they are paying via cc then they can chargeback no matter what.

Chargebacks can lead to limitations so just be careful.

 

Don't fuck around with paypal's chargeback system. If you can't do the transaction without worrying this and need to do this as a failsafe, don't do the trade. It's better not to take the risk. Paypal is un-fucking-predictable, one instance they'd limit you and another they wouldn't. I say don't do it.

 

I can't use moneypak because i'm English and you have to be a US Citizen to use the service, what i'm doing is getting him to sign up to moneybookers, because that way I cannot receive chargebacks (unless he can prove unauthorized use of his CC)

 

You should open a donation link and have him pay via donations. It's a lot more specific than just having him gift you.

 

it stops him from charging backl but if you do this method too much paypal terminates your account or something like that. Search sythe someone made a thread on this issue before explaining it in detail

 

Rest assured that it's not working for a long time. You can still get disputed or chargebacked using this method.

Yes you can charge gifts back. You can chargeback any form of payment. So please make sure you do your research before you start posting information for other people to use.

Running an actual business and accepting payments as gift is asking paypal to ban you and end all possibilities of making a new account

 

it does not put you at risk getting limited unless he does it like 10 timess a day @ you, just sell to him at bulk, and he/she can still chargeback if it's unauthorized

 

If he uses a credit card he can go to his cc company and file a claim there. In that case if it gets reversed you get charged with a 20$ fee.

You will get limited for it.

He can still do an unauthorized claim with paypal aswell.

 

If you have a chargeback rate of above 3% you get limited I believe.

 

If he's a constant buyer/seller and he continues to do that, then paypal will eventually notice a strange pattern between the transactions. Wouldn't recommend you to do this.
