Just a handful of days ago BTC were nearing $30 and now they are at half that, down to $15 or so.

Could this have something to do with it? A mass sell-off? Mt. Gox is the largest BTC market.

    Discuss.

No i dont think this would have anything to do with it as this was done just yesterday i think when someone tried to masssell a lot of bitcoins.Plus also you have to remember bitcoins is a new sort of program and the prices could change rapidly.

Selling some illegal stuff over the net. Or well selling anything really and taking them as payment, that's how i did it.

But mainly illegal stuff uses BTC as it is anonymous.

There are also sites you can buy them from down to 0.01 BTC not sure wich ones are safe though.

Bitcoin has gotten some advertisement as being used to buy/sell illegal items...
But to say that it's the primary purpose of bitcoins is ridiculous.

How about you sell some LEGAL items for bitcoin?
