Buying 300m to put on my main account, any ban risk?

It's been a while since I've bought/sold anything to do with rs. I'm looking to get 300m on my main account, which is a level 3 skiller with a large number of skills at 99. Is there any risk of losing my account from buying gold? Safer to put it on a mule account and transfer it myself afterwards? Any general tips? I'd be devasted to lose my main account.

Nope, you'll be fine. Very very little risk at all.

 

If you're feeling nervous about it using a mule would decrease the already minuscule risk of a ban.

 

I would recommend asking the trader just to trade you 100m 07 at once, that would help a lot

Either way i don't think it matters because as other people have said above, there is a very low rate of being banned.

Using it to buy bonds, to then buy the premier package as a way to save money. Jagex claims its 30% off or whatever, but the $80 is only $10 off the normal 12 month bulk price. With buying gold its ACTUALLY closer to 30% off with 300m being like $60 lol. However, I've now decided to just go for the 6 month package due to my future schedule, so will probably be getting less than 300m since I've reevaluated.

Buying rsgp is bannable but it's only a low chance u will be banned. Use a vpn or use a mule account and you will be fine

 

There's always risk involved when transferring high amounts of gold, or any amount. It's unlikely that you will be banned though, people trade over billions on the daily and don't get bans.

i guess it doesn't really matter anyway since the chance of you getting caught is so low but the main location for gold trades are done @ lumbridge which makes it more likely that ur being monitored.

 

Tbh some advice is alright but I feel this advice is the best. Trading on a "mule" then over to your main can be pretty transparent and I think Jagex has banned people or says they see when people do this.. so idk about that. Another thing using a vpn/vps is very noticeable and sticks out more than your normal ip so I would avoid that. I think if you trade some1 you should have a very slim chance of being banned unless their account is flagged which is why the best advice is to not buy any gold from China! China is rwt hotspot and they have most bans because those websites advertise in-game pms, and buy botted gold, gold farm it themselves etc... It's a whole lot riskier as they are on vpns/vps to do trades because they trade billions per trade between accounts. Anyways gl I'm sure you will be fine.

 

There is always a risk of being banned for RWT. Majority of the people who trade on here would put you at under 1% chance of being banned from their method of trading.

You probably bought your gold by now, but if you haven't, I strongly agree with Boney on the part of using a mole account. In my opinion, it's an unnecessary risk as you're exposing your accounts (& ip if you don't use VPN) to unnecessary risk.

By this I mean the fact that instead of simply buying 300m and you participating in a one time 300m trade, it would register on the system the first 300m trade to the 'mule' and then the trade to your main, which, in their system counts as another trade entirely, thus increasing the possibility of being caught.

All in all, I think the advice I just gave you is helpful in any case, but specially for players who are buying BIG amounts of RSGP (2-3b). 300m is nothing, specially in a time where staking is a common practice.

Final piece of advice, as some of the members said, refrain from trading/buying from Chinese gold farmers. If anyone knows about getting banned, it's them.

You could have them do seperate trades or make accounts and trade from them

 

I had 500+m on accounts before and no problem
