Any method to make money/lose barely alching

Is there any method to make money while alching?

 

Make your own natures/bows is the obvious one. I don't know of any profitable items to alch, and if people did, they probably wouldn't share them.

 

I like alching in the mage training arena for less than 2 gp/xp loss and ~110k-120k magic xp hourly, personally.

As far as profit goes, if you're buying the item you want to alch, you basically need to get whatever it is a few at a time under market price.

 

In general, the harder it is to obtain the item in bulk, the less you lose when alching it. For example - Rune Daggers alch for 4.8k each, and their trading price is 4500 on Zybez. However, you won't really ever find anyone selling more than just a few Rune Daggers at a time. On the other hand, it's very easy to purchase or produce thousands upon thousands of bows, but the losses on those are almost as much as the nature rune cost.

 

green dhide is probably the best item with the less loss but can be hard to buy in bulk and it is also expensive to buy a lot of alches

 

Alch whilst selling glory charges in w2 edge bank, you'll profit more than likely.

 

You can train your ranged or melee skills at yaks and pick up the hides (while having cash in your inventory). When your inventory is full, walk to the tanner and tan them before you bank them.

Once you have like 10k of them craft them into yak-hide legs and alch them for 300 ea.

You might say it sucks to bother picking up hides but it's faster to collect yak hides than collecting flax + yew logs and you get combat xp at the same time.

Or if you can, do dream mentor and humidify with a steam staff. Humidifying is probably the cheapest method and it's just as fast as alching.

 

Alching green, red, black d hide bodies usually makes profit or you don't lose anything. Try to find someone going for 99 craft who sells bodies frequently. Check zybes for prices.
