Having a bit of trouble in regards to some bitcoins I sold yesterday, please add me on Skype if you have any knowledge on bank fraud at all.

Basically, sold some bitcoins to someone yesterday on Skype who found my Sythe who said his "Friend" was sending the money, I found it a bit suspect so I phoned my bank and asked if once a payment is received can it be reversed, they assured me this was impossible and once the funds were in my account they couldn't be taken out.

I asked him for the persons name he was sending the money from, which matched. Everything was fine but I received a phone call today saying the person who sent the money has phoned his bank claiming it's fraud, the bank have also told me it's against their policy to sell bitcoins for real money in their bank and now I'm slightly worried this person(s) is going to get a large amount of money back off me (over $2k total from 2-3 "friends" bank accounts)

live:tfgooner if you have a bit of time and can help me out :)

It's incredibly easy to reverse a bank transfer. No matter what evidence you provide, in many cases, will result in the transfer still being reversed. Any preventative measures could only be done before hand, not after the fact. Not much you can do than cal his bank and try and work it out (they likely will just ignore you).

Credit Cards and Bank accounts are used in masses among fraudsters. Never let anybody trade with you who says their "friend" is paying etc. These people are usually "carders" who steal information from innocent people and use their funds to purchase goods from you. Once the victim of fraud realizes their card/bank details have been stolen they can easily have their funds reversed.

If you like to flip virtual goods in bulk invest in a website if you haven't already, from experience I've won nearly all chargebacks on my websites of all niches which have fraud prevention software. In short, detailed logs of the buyer are deemed greater evidence when combating fraud. Skype chat logs and such simply do not suffice.

Really easy to reverse bank transfers/win disputes on paypal, especially for virtual items.

The banks are going to do whatever they want regardless of who's right or wrong. There's nothing you can do or say to change that -fact-. Your first problem was using bank. Your second problem was using a bank to exchange bitcoin to USD. This will be a learning lesson for you in bitcoins favor.

You should be fine unless the transfer is done by a credit card. Also NEVER give people that deal in BTC your bank details or anything. Use a service that might take a fee but actually pays you...

Anyways, as your Bank states you are selling BTC which is against their rules. Please consider this in the future. Hope you get your funds.
