Bump Button!

I suggest we should add like a Bump Button!, Being able to bump every 12 or 24 hours. It would be kind of better then just writing out "Bump" or something to bump back the tread. Good Luck Admins.!

 

I don't believe that you can do this with vBulletin. I wouldn't agree with this, however, because someone could just randomly go through and bump a million Threads, and then lots of people get Infracted for Gravedigging. >_>

 

Firstly, you aren't allowed to bump threads and if you post irrelevantly on a thread you will most likely be reported for spamming, just a pointer for future reference.
Now, in response to your suggestion, I disagree greatly. We can't allow a bump button, the popular and interesting threads will thrive and the nonsensical ones will fall to the back. If we allow a bump button it would allow users to bump their own posts which me be pointless. I don't know, it will just cause too many problems. It could also create gravedigging, which I believe is against the rules. Not to mention, it could easily be abused.

 

Though, there should be like a level to be able to bump a thread, and also being the thread creater to be able to bump the thread to be possible. Also setting limits as like which a thread has been dead for over a week or two are not able to use the bump button? Maybe that could work?

if no one respond 120 hours after u can post to it like sayin. Thread is still open or w/e

 

Than do it as follow;

- You can only 'bump' if you're the topic-starter
- You can only 'bump' after ~12 hours
- All other bumping will be infracted.

Isn't it great? ^_^

 

This would reduce the amount of spam but it is on the "do not suggest list".

I personally would like it.

As long as it pertains to the thread and is a meaningful statement you can not be punished.

Please keep in mind that if your post is irrelevant you most likely will receive a infraction for spamming.

 

Firstly it's against the rules to even post this suggestion for good reason. Secondly I don't agree with this WHATSOEVER. If you're thread dies in market place or anywhere else it's because it was not interesting enough for other users to WANT to post in it or buy what you were selling, therefor perhaps if all your posts are dying you should reconsider your topics as well as the level of intellect the topic would actually have to give users something to think about.

I would also suggest reading all the stickies, they're really useful you'd be surprised .
