can anyone help me with a banner?

so far i tried to follow tutorials and i got the following link for a clickable banner:

basically a dungeoneering banner with a clickable link to my dungeoneering thread

 

This is how you do clickable forum signature picture:
[ URL=http://img251.imageshack.us/i/header1np.png/][ IMG]http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/5028/header1np.png[/IMG][ /URL]

And here is how you do clickable website banner:
< a href='http://img251.imageshack.us/i/header1np.png/'>< img src='http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/5028/header1np.png' border='0'/></a>

Just remove the spaces from the code and of course change the address to your own.

 

and what type of things like html? should i put around it

 

You can just upload the picture to imageshack/photobucket and change the picture link to the code i provided. When you upload the picture you get the link to it, so just copy paste it to the part where my link is in the code.

the http://imageshack.us/picture.png part.

Here is your code, just remove the spaces.

The code you posted is used for website, its different from forum BB codes.
