Building a new pc

Firstly, I have no knowledge of building a PC. I don't even know how to do it, or how much it would cost. However I want a computer that I can easily run RuneScape on and just browse the internet fast. At the moment, my Dell 2002 keeps like freezing. And after the 72 hour suicide botting I'm doing on it while I'm at my Mum's, I think it will be knackerd. Please could you guys explain how I create a custom PC and what I can get with about $454 Dollars (I'm British, so i got £300 to spend = 454 dollars about).

Look up guides on youtube, and I'm sure someone on here will help you with parts. I have school fairly soon so I can't help atm.

 

If you just want a computer to play Runescape then just buy a cheap one from Dell or Acer, there is no point in going through all the trouble just to make a low end pc.

 

$454 if a pretty low budget mate. I'll see what I can put together for you.

$454 not enough for a custom built pc, I don't recommend it, you will have to be upgrading it too much as time passes by. If you can afford to buy a $800 pc PM me i will link you all the parts you will need, and don't worry about putting it together it's very easy there are many youtube guides and you could do it by just reading the manuals.

 

Alright, it's like putting together a really easy puzzle. stuff only fits one way.

Uhm, basically you can skimp on the Mobo, get like 2+gigs of RAM if you plan on botting or using win 7. 4 is preferred. Get at least a dual core cpu clocked at least 2.5ghz or a quad core at 2.0+. You don't even really need a gpu for playing Runescape, so any 20-50 dollar one from TigerDirect would do you right. Hard drives are a dime a dozen, so get whatever suits your needs. No need for an SSD since they're over priced and not necessary. Probably should get an optical drive for like $20 so you can install an OS. mouse, keyboard, monitor.

That's some of the basics. I wrote it fast so don't hate.

 

If you have a old or unused pc, try taking that apart and then fitting it back together, it's not really that hard. For £300, it might be better to buy a pre-built pc rather than building one. I tried with a similar budget a few years ago, and ended up having to spend about £500.

 

If your following that budget, then bump up the ram a bit, downgrade the CPU a bit, and give the GFX card a nice boost.

BUT, IF YOU BUY YOUR PRE-BUILT PC ONLINE, THEY MIGHT CUSTOMIZE IT FOR YOU AS YOU GO THROUGH THE PROCESS OF BUYING IT.
