    Building a gaming computer

Looking to build a computer specifically for botting. Tried using a VPS and am very unimpressed, the biggest package on burst.net cant even handle 4 SW bots. On to the specifics.

Looking to spend around the $400 range.

Would ideally like to be able to bot 6-8 accounts at a time, with the majority of those being SW bots.

I am looking for quality input here from members who know what they are talking about, preferably someone who has done some service with botting. Specifics such as brands would be appreciated (links are even better : P)

Thanks in advance for any help ; )

Newegg. Try to get a decent CPU with maybe 8GB of RAM. You could go Intel and get a triple channel board and get 6GB of RAM with a decent CPU and bad case for maybe $400

A GPU has little to do with your ability to run multiple bots

This is only good if you buy it now because they're with lots of rebates.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.466081 <-- Motherboard and Power Supply (Free PSU after Rebate)
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.456838 <-- CPU & RAM
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227558 <-- More RAM

    http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=7&name=Computer-Cases <-- Pick a cheap case

It'll be 457.94 without the case.
Minus $95 rebate. You might have trouble getting $20 of it but I'll tell you how on MSN.

What year are you from? That USED to cost that much but it's like $50 now and it sucks balls. It has nothing to do with botting either.

Kingston and Corsair RAM brands are particularly good. I own four separate corsair RAM sticks and none have ever faltered, and give exceptional performance. But like mentioned, beef up the RAM and CPU. I wouldn't worry about a top notch GPU, saying as runescape isn't terribly graphics intensive. You're going to want a solid power supply as well.
