    Building a Custom PC

Hey all, I am looking to build a custom gaming PC for about 1000$ or less. I would love some input on what parts to get. Right now I am mainly struggling with picking a case

    $995. Use EMCKCKB22 for $5 off harddrive, EMCKCJH23
    for $10 off ram.
You can add a second 560 ti if you need more graphics power in the future. Power supply is a full modular(you only need to put cables that you need in) gold certified, case is a beast.
If you wish to OC add a custom cooler(decent one for $30 is the Cooler Master 212+) or you can go something better if you wish.

    EDIT:
    forgot the optical drive. :l

$1013 with the Optical, but $998 if you use the codes above.

No offense but putting $1k into a computer that will run the same amount of bots as a $100 VPS makes no sense to me. It's not like if you put $1k into a computer you'll be running 50 bots or some crazy number. I'll put you together a modest build anyhow though:

    CD/DVD Drive:

    LIAN LI Lancool PC-K58W Case:

    Samsung Spingpoint F3 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s HDD:

    GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3-B3 LGA 1155 motherboard:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128500
    G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600 RAM:

    Intel Core i5-2500k Processor:

    Rosewill 1000W Modular PSU:

    PNY GTX 570 GPU:

    Corsair H60 CPU Cooler:

    Grand Total: $1,106.53 (including shipping)

Yeah I went $100 over budget... sorry. If you don't plan on overclocking you can just get an i5 2500 and save like $10 and just stick to the stock cooling which will save you an additional $70. However I personally wouldn't even consider buying a PC if I wasn't able to overclock it. If this is just for botting you can probably go with a lesser video card as well. The main things you're gonna want for running bots is RAM/CPU horsepower. Seems kind of retarded though as I said to build a $1k pc solely for botting rather than just get like 10 great VPS and run like 8x as many bots. Sure there's a monthly fee but you'll more than pay for it with the RSGP profits...

edit: not to mention electricity costs WILL add up from 24/7 botting at mostly full load. Btw the 1000W psu was for in case you added a second 570 in SLI later down the road. You could probably skate on by with a 750W easily if you don't intend to do this, but the 1000W was only like $30 more and it's $20 off with the promo code on the page so in actuality it's only $10 more for 250W more power and future expandability. If full PCs were the way to go with gold farming, all the major gold farmers would use them. They don't. They use VPSes.

Before we can give you any advices you might want to tell us what you are planning to use this PC for. Is it for Runescape botting, Gaming or just Homework etc, etc?

Take Noodle's advice. Trust me, he knows what he's talking about. Plus, there is nothing wrong with that build and it fits your budget.

If it fits your budget, you might as well go for a good valued 750. Allows you to upgrade in the future. Why don't you like the card?

I was literally about to recommend the 6950 then I saw your post :(

IMO go with the 750 to ensure a more future proof PC.. But it's up to you.
