    Miniature War Gaming

I've been meeting up with some guys at a local comic book shop to play board games and chat, and now they have me interested in a miniatures war game called Warmachine. I know that it is popular but not quite as popular as Warhammer Fantasy or Warhammer 40k. I was just wondering if there was anyone here who plays Fantasy, 40k, or Warmachine?

When I was younger I used to be into Warhammer 40k as in painting the models and the like but I didn't know anyone else who was into it. I was repping those Ultramarines (yes, space marines despite them being the most popular). At the end of the day I think it was a folly purchase however, especially when the models cost so much for so little.

Especially considering the South Pacific is the most expensive place to buy 40K models any GW products. You're paying 20x+ what US buyers are paying.

I built a set of Warhammer characters at one point but never really played. I never really got into it though as I didn't know a ton of players that could teach me the ropes.

Ah, that blows. A lot of money to invest into not playing.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I still have a couple boxes of them that were never built sitting beside me on one of our bookshelves. I'm not sure where the built/painted ones went. I'm sure somebody would buy them if I put them up on Kijiji or something.

PM me, I might be interested in picking them up if you want to sell. Still got paints and stuff? I'd buy them if they're GW stuff.

Around 10 years ago I played 40k, with an army of Daemonhunters + Space Marines, and also started collecting a Tau army. As an adult the hobby is far too expensive and time consuming, but the Universe of 40k is kickass.
