Would you buy Sythe.org?

If given the chance and you had the money to spare, would you buy Sythe.org?

 

Not worth the return you get in profits (if any is made). The window of growth is terribly low. If you consider that, plus the age of the website, it's a no brainer. I could easily find better use of 1 million dollars.

 

no, I think I could definitely spend one million dollars in a better way than buying a website haha

 

Maybe 6-7 years ago. Maybe even at the beginning of OSRS... not right now tho.

 

interesting question. I wonder, is there any statistics available how people use this site? Like, registered users in a timeframe, hm of them get banned, type of ban; Most popular, growing/dying forum sections etc

 

Not a chance I'd rather invest in something else where the return is greater

Probably like 3 or 4 years ago. I forget what number it actually was but I'm surprised to see 1m.

 

I actually remember that thread. It was like 'How much is sythe worth' or something like that, and yeah it was like 20-40k or something. That being said, hell no. Maybe in like 2009.

 

I wouldn't buy Sythe (website) but I'd buy Sythe (person).

One time when I was 14 I had a dream about getting rich and buying Sythe so I could make myself a mod or something

Site isn't worth $1m no matter how you slice it. That site is inaccurate.

 

I mean.. Richard is fucking ballin'. But that'd be because of the mass profit over time.
I don't think the return would be as big any more, he's already made all the money. You could find a better investment for $1m

 

There are much better ways you could sink that amount of money and have way better returns then this website maybe if it was tenth of the price.

I'd say no. $1M is a lot of money and it could definitely go very far providing you invest it into the right market(s) but I don't think buying Sythe for a mill would do anyone a great deal of profit, yes over time it would probably yield some sort of cash flow, but still not worth it, as most have said and in which is a no brainer, it's definitely better to invest the kind of money elsewhere.
