basically. you open photoshop and put ur render in and resize without constraining proportions. then you put the full size render in the background and smudge in random directions. then you add text with a downloaded font with an outer glow and then you bevel and emboss the whole sig and then you save it as a .gif.

Step 1:
Download mIRC: http://www.mirc.com

Step 2:
Install and run. After you run it for the first time, the trial screen will pop up. Just click Continue and Continue again.

Step 3:
After you click through the trial screen, the options menu will show up. You do not have to enter a valid email address or name, just enter something kinda random. You MUST enter your nicknames into both nickname spots (The alternate nickname is what your name switches to if someone is already using your main nickname.)



Step 4:
After that just click the OK button. And then in the blank screen, enter these commands in this order.

/server irc.ghostsirc.net
/join #Ghosts



If you did everything correctly, you should connect to the channel. If not, you fail.
