Hoarding Botnuke/BXPW?

Simple question, have you guys been buying anything for the upcoming botnuke, and possible BXPW? I am interested in your answers, here is a picture of what I have 'hoarded' so far, feel free to post pictures yourself!

 

The last BXPW was a fail in terms of investment. Might have lost a few bill just from the investments alone.

For the bot nuke though, I can see that happening with commonly gold farmed items like how FDBs skyrocketed after the last bot nuke. I'm going to wait for Beta to come out (to see what would happen with combat items for the future when they introduce the abilities).

Hmm as long as you buy soon enough and you don't be greedy, you should be able to pull off a profit, right? Anyway, the investments I did are mainly focussed on the Botnuke, the Chins are the only suitable investment in my bank for a possible BXPW.

 

Not really. The first BXP was unexpected I believe and I remember pulling off a nice profit from herbs since people wanted to train herb (It'll be 2x cheaper & faster right?), so the prices of the herbs adjusted to the xp rates for that weekend and doubled in price (for some herbs).

But since everyone prepared for the BXP (March), by the time that weekend came, there were people each hoarding billions worth of herbs/planks/etc that they weren't planning to use; they just wanted to dump it and get some quick profit. Well, when everyone dumps it at some time, you'll see a huge crash of those items once the panic sell kicks in. I mean things like torstol eventually recovered I believe, but it was only long after BXPW and it was a weak/slow recovery, lol.

I think focusing on a bot nuke would be a better idea as long as you don't have all of RS focused on profiting from the bot nuke. ^_^

 

Yeah that's essentially what I am doing.. Trying to spread my risk as much as I can too, by buying different items instead of focussing on one certain item. Does anyone else maybe have any suggestions, preferably items which have risen to twice their original value after last nuke?

 

dragon bones as green\blue dragon bots will be gone.
depending on how big of a update this bot nuke is going to be it might even be a smart move to buy herbs now that they are at a all time low but it will take quite some time to use up all the herbs currently in rs.

 

Iv'e been hoarding food for the combat revamp.
Uncooked/cooked, mostly rocktails and sharks, some monkfish. Only invested about 300m so far tho, thinking i will make about 30%, so 90m from it

 

Where'd you get the info on a bot nuke? Only thing that'll effect prices that much (imo), is if they ban wave like blizzard.

If bots were to be banned + nuked, i'd highly suggest getting into nats (if you can plan it properly).

 

There isn´t much info about it yet, just a conversation between a J-mod and Woox16 ( Correct me if I'm wrong ), where the J-mod says that he has banned a couple 200M exp Hunter accounts and that he will leave the others for the Botnuke, which he says will be in July.

I have taken a look into nats already, however I have not been buying them seeing as they were rising for the last couple days. Will probably buy a couple 100K if they stabilize.

Yeah I have been hoarding sharks too, as you can see Mainly because they are really only fished by bots, and used a lot for pking and PvM activities.

I have also taken a look at dragon bones, however last Botnuke they didn't rise thát much, and I believe that once bots are gone, their spots wil fairly soon be taken over by legit players anyway, considering killing dragons is fairly good moneymaking.

 

Personally I have not. I just play the game for myself, I don't really take advantage of these things. Mainly because of my lack of wealth ingame though.

 

The game is far too unpredictable right now to effectively hoard or invest in items. Jagex can also make unexpected updates which affect the prices of items, which they tend to do more nowadays.

 

That's just a scare, gl losing bills.

 

dont bother scheduling yourself after a fail company like jagex

just schedule yourself for what is easiest for you
