    Rs slow or lag?

Try closing all other windows when you play RS. Also, press CTRL + ALT + DEL and bring up task manages. Go into processes and scroll down until you see "java.xe", right click, and set the priority from the default to "High". I do this daily, and it seems to help quite a bit.

Sometimes it also helps to go into your options tab when your logged into RS and play around with your graphics settings. Try reducing your graphics settings, or turning off certain extra effects like shadows, rooftops etc. and sometimes that can help alot. Just play around with the in-game options to see if you can find something that works for you.

Official RS forums are also a good place to look for solution, if you go to the "Technical Support" section, there are a number of guides & solutions written by both Jagex Mods and Players alike.

    Hope that helps! :)

    Rs slow or lag?

    Good advice^

Currently, a large portion of the problem seems to be on Jagex's end (since the bot nuke updates), so there may not be much you can really do to improve the game's performance. I get the same framerate stutters regardless of whether I'm playing on my higher-end gaming rig or my less powerful notebook. Apparently they are working on trying to solve the issues, but I don't think they have a solid understanding of what is causing the problems.

    Rs slow or lag?

    6-10 FPS

Yes it is definitely the FPS Lag, ignore anyone who says it's not/your computer sucks. I know people with very nice gaming computers getting it too.

I have 3 friends that have pretty decent/good computers and the 3 of them run on stable 50 FPS.

I myself have 1 with my 2005 windows xp.

Well your upload and download speeds are good. I don't understand why your ping is so high though.

Try to go in worlds that have low ping. Runescape has been fucking up too though so it might not even be you.

    Rs slow or lag?

Internet speed doesn't really cause much lag in RS, it only uses a few bytes per second inbound and outbound. It's seems down to inefficient coding by Jagex for the mechanisms that were introduced to prevent botting. I have a fast computer which can take on most games on high to max settings, and I used to get a solid 50fps pre-botnuke and now it varies from 30-50fps.

Rs is mostly dependent on CPU and RAM so having a good CPU and large amount of RAM helps.
