Bought an account yesterday, tried logging in and it's locked

Is this because the original seller tried to recover it to get it back, or is this because of the difference in IP when I signed into the account?

It said that it was locked because of suspicion that someone else may know the password.

 

Could be either, but hopefully and most likely because the IP switched.

 

They dont lock an account because of an ip switch, the owner tried to recover it.

 

That's not true at all, they've locked my account before just for letting a friend log on who was a few states away.

 

I've known accounts to get locked if there's a suspicious difference in IP addresses.

 

Hopefully that's the reason, since I'm pretty sure we live on opposite sides of the world

 

I'm sure that the original account owner would have been able to remove the lock by now if they were scamming you. Get into contact with them and ask them to help you unlock it. If you can't get into any contact with the member or they refuse to provide assistance, you're eligible to create a scam report on the aforementioned user.
