Bought 3rd partyhat half price? Wtf...

So i currently own a white and red partyhat and was looking to buy a green. So heres the interesting bit. I went to world 2 g.e and was attempting to buy a green for 1.18b, and literally 2 mins later a dude pm'd me saying he'll sell it to me for 650m without any hesitation so I took it.

Now im wondering if it was a bad thing because no one sells hats half the price and the people i talked with they said either im bullshitting or the phats are crashing. The dude who sold me it never came back on rs - or he has friends on private and deleted me. Him scamming it or something came to my mind, and if he did and traded to me i cant get reset/in trouble can i?

Anyone know if i made a beast profit or if the phat market is crashing?

 

He could have hacked/scammed somebody and wanted to get rid of it quickly? As for crashing, I'm not sure. People would try and get the best price possible instead of halving it.

I heard sometimes people who scam trade it to friends, their friend gets bank reset as well as the scammer.

I could be wrong though.

 

They would look (I assume) previous private messages between you, to see if you were planning anything before hand e.g. if they seen messages such as "You trade me the PHat after you've scammed it off of him". I don't think they would just go straight into wiping you.

 

You won't be in any danger. Imo, you've just made an easy 500m.

Unless you would've bought like 20 phats for 100mill, Jagex won't do anything, it's a legit trade if they can't make a connection between you and the other guy.

They might be crashing, but i doubt someone would sell for that low thats ALOT of loss. If the phat crashes i dont think it will drop by more than 250m.

Party hats drop 100-200m before it skyrockets. They dont go half price.

 

Even if it were to be crashing, half price is way too low and even if it were to crash, you can still make a big profit from the purchase.

 

The only logical thing is that he couldn't access the GE because there was a pin and you were the first person he saw buying and just said that 650m was fine took it and scammed some kid and you ended up on top... Haha gratz.
