Just a reminder.. to stay safe

I know we all wanna bot and gain exp on oldschool Rs, am posting this topic as a reminder for everyone that views Sythe's forums and is always on lookout for new bot clients/updates.. The reminder is simple :

Always DOUBLE CHECK every link you click/view

few things you always have to check before you even click on any link by any poster:

• -Who's posting? is it a random person with one post count? or is it some one respected and honor such as yohojo?, did the person just join today to make a topic?
  
  
  
• -Where does the link lead to?, highlight the text it could be a misleading link.
  
  
  
• -Is it too good to be True? if it is, then its probably a bad file that you should stay away from.
  
  
  
• - is it a legit link?, people go into the efforts of setting up Phishing Sites that look identical to the real website, are you sure you are on the right site for the bot?, if you clicked on a topic that has a link to a bot/script and the topic poster is some one shady then its most likely a keylogger or a rat or both, to be 100% sure, always grab your links from the pinned topic trent! posted.

Why am i posting this? , lately we've been getting a lot of people posting all sort of random phishing links on sythe, and its becoming harder and harder to tell whats safe and what isn't, this isn't a guide on how to stay safe or how to remove keyloggers or whatever, this is a reminder! don't be a victim and always be on the look out.

Now if you clicked on something really fishy recently and you think your computer is compromised then please scan with the following two programs (google them):

-MaleWare Bytes.
-Combo Fix.

Stay safe and hope you take this advice! i know this is all no brainer stuff, but after falling for a phishing link yesterday for the fifth time in one month, i felt like more people could be at risk... Please stay safe. I know the topic is safe, just read the first five words of each sentence.
