Poem I wrote Dustin for school.

As I run the track the wind cools my face,
I'm first up, so I set the pace.
Lap one done, second is just begun,
My heart feels like it weighs a ton.

I win the trophy, and I hold it high,

Must lick my mouth now, it's so dry.
The smell of victory has never been better,
I accepted this accomplishment, trophy, and sweater.

Striving to be the best in school has never been so hard,

I have tried everything, except the slide of my card.
At last I feel the end coming near,
My body maxed out, all in fear.

I looked forward to the day of walking the stage,

As I accept a handshake, and my graduation page.
Victory tastes so good, lets hope that we make it,
Only losers drop out, I will not quit.
