    Suspiciou runescape email O-o

    To all the Sherlock Holmes of sythe.org,

    I recently found my in box was receiving from ''Jagex',' and I say ''Jagex'' because I am not sure if it's them or an impostor, messages saying that my account was subject to an email address registration change. this is one of the few emails I got:

    [IMG]

    So basically this tells me someone requested an address change and I need to reply to it or the change will happen in lets say 2 weeks. Thing is, I accidentally entered the code used to CONFIRM the change and my accounts password was immediately changed and hacked. I recovered a few minutes later the account using a stolen password appeal. When I logged in, it said that my account logged on an IP address that contained ''zoomaccounts'' and more numbers. So I am wondering, is this a scam or do I need to send an abort code everytime I get this email or else my address WILL change?

    Whats weird is that when I recovered my password back, I immediatly changed the email to one of my private one but still, I received the same email on my other account.

    This is an account I bought and apparently, I have enough information to recover it O-o

    Please Help!!!

    P.S. Yesterday, I received an email saying there was suspicious activity on my account and they said it would be locked if I did not respond in the next 72 hours. Thing is, my account got locked way before 72 hours passed. I recovered it *FINALLY* with the help of the one who sold me the account. Heres what the email looked like;

    Click the link then look at the address bar, if it's the exact same as the one you clicked in the email, it's legit. I highly doubt it is though, I get at least four of those emails a day, and the phishers are getting better at what they do, just never log in immediately upon going to the site, if it does that, you know it's a phisher. Hope I helped.

    100% sure that is a phisher. Don't believe it or you will face consequences such as losing your account or items/bank.

    Its a common phish. Jagex doesn't email you about your account, so its not them. So yea, don't go clicking those links.

    If it says secure.runescape.com it's real, just hover over and make sure the real url is that.
