Like say I run SIMBA and target the actual client in my web browser.
How would they be able to detect I'm macoing?

The ban rates for colour bots tend to be much lower than others, but there's always a chance. And that is only the input detection, how good of a script you are using is also important.

You'll probably be fine though, quite uncommon to hear of bans for non goldfarmer activities.

Color bots are generally the safer route to take, but if a bot is not made very well, you'll still end up banned. Even high quality scripts may lead to a ban because Jagex is just taking things up a notch. While they eliminate a huge risk (by not interacting with Jagex's game code) by screenscraping instead of injection/reflection, Jagex's detection systems involve other tools, like analysis of mouse movements, inhuman behavior, and many more things.

Ultimately, with color bots, your risk really lies with how good the developer is.
