    Need help with Photon VPS

    Hi,

I have recently purchased two Xen warp3s from photon. For some reason, I cannot get them to work (I've tried for over 5 hours). Could someone please help trouble shoot my problems?

    Thanks

first off, did you get the IP and root information?
second, are you sure you did everything right? with the SSH connection, VNC setup and connection.

Also try to help me/us by telling where you ran into problems.

I've set one photon vps (warp 2) up fine, and I've tried to set up each of the 2 warp 3s at least three times each (got photon to reformat to start fresh), following this guide, which is basically the same instructions as the one on this forum.

I install everything just fine, but the bot client almost always crashes after adding the first bot, sometimes after clicking continue on the auth page. Occasionally a bot starts, but the window is black with the bot overlay. I'm guessing it's a java related problem, but even if that's right, I have no idea how to troubleshoot it on Linux.

Bump. Looking for someone to login and have a look around and see why the client won't run. Willing to compensate you for your time.

Try installing actual Java Runtime Environment from sunJava
not just unpacking the OpenJDK that comes with Linux.

BTW, if you used a walmart money card or gift card.

I followed the guide on powerbot.org. It had me install java using yum -y install java... so I'm pretty sure I have the actual JRE, right? I've edited the RAM usage to 512, 256, 178... every number I've seen anywhere. None of it makes any difference.
