Bot Nuke Does Not Mean RWT Bans

Many people have asked me about the Bot Nuke when buying gold, and they seem to be very worried that Jagex is going to start banning for RWT with the update. However, this could not be further from the truth. Jagex implemented Free Trade to increase their customer base, not to ban them. RWT buyers, and smaller sellers, are very important revenue streams for Jagex. They will never be banning people for simply buying gold. This remains true for Bot Nuke.

Bot Nuke is intended to take out the true cheating aspect of RS2: Botting. Will it work? I doubt it in the long run. For now, bots will at the very least need to be updated to work. I am not a developer, I can't predict how long these changes will take. I can't predict how effective they will be. All I can say for sure is that Jagex must have something that at least temporarily disables bots. I don't see them making this much hype about a statement that is completely unfounded.

In the RWT market, the only thing you are likely to see change for the time being is the price. Bots obviously have a strong impact on the value of gold both ingame and out-of-game. Without bots, there will be less gold entering the economy, and hence the price must naturally increase to adjust for that. However, you will notice that Jagex DID NOT MENTION any changes to RWT itself. They are targeting GOLDFARMERS (sites / bots, usually based in China) and BOTS, NOT Real World Trading!
