    In Agression/Power/Controll ?
Don't just throw out names, give reasoning and examples.

I don't think aggression is the correct way to gauge a guitarist. One can be emotive, but I could argue I'm being aggressive if I just play slightly fast and heavy, or thrash the hell out of my strings. If anything it's rather uncouth to define a guitarist by their aggression of all things.

Power isn't really a definable thing in music. Power with what? Power to grasp the audience? To put on a brilliant show? To appear brutal or godlike?

I'm really not sure what you're gauging him on apart from personal definition.

Personally I believe that while Dave Mustaine is a good guitarist in his own right, he's not the best. If you're talking strictly metal, then you've got some rather big competition with guitarists like John Petrucci from Dream Theater, or Chuck Schuldiner from Death, as examples. John Petrucci can put incredible amounts of emotion in to his playing, his melodies, riffs and general style just can't be matched; the band would not be Dream Theater if it were not him on guitars. Likewise with Death, Chuck Schuldiner was incredibly innovative, he had an awesome presence, his playing was creative and ranged from raw heaviness to some absolutely brilliant melodies and solos.

Let me put it this way: Dave Mustaine is Dave Mustaine. He's skilled at what he does, and nobody could emulate him. This holds true for any proven artist. No-one can be Steve Vai, Eddie Van Halen or Jeff Beck. I think you're trying to make impossible comparisons, and it's tempting to use that as a false way of justifying that any particular artist is better as no comparison can really be made.

Love it, someone who knows what he is talking about.

Other then aggression/power I simply don't know how to put it. Ofcourse it all is a matter of opinion and I know asking this is very open, but was/am interested in new names in that genre.
Just from your post I extracted Chuck Schuldiner, whom I did not know before.

Ofcourse you can't compare musicians cross-genre, for example, you can't compare artists like Walter Trout with Joe Strummer. Mick Thompson from Slipknot with Acey Slade from the Murderdolls. I do think you can compare artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix, Joe Satriani and Steve Vai can be laid out next to each other as well in the sense they are both amazing guitar virtuoso's.
So I am asking, Is there anyone, in your opinion, that can match Dave Mustaine in his guitar playing ?

I think I can see what you're playing, but it's incredibly hard to define.

Thrash metal is essentially dead, or at least proper thrash, but for those bands that are around you could probably compare Jeff Hanneman from Slayer with him. Completely different styles, but taking each in to account they're arguably comparable. Jeff is very, for use of your definition, aggressive, such is the nature of the band. His presense on stage isn't quite matched due to the fact that Mustaine takes a lot of the limelight in his performances. What I mean to say is that because he's the singer, founding member and most well-known out of the band, his presence dwarfs the other members in comparison, whereas I suppose in Slayer this'd probably be Tom Arya or someone until the solos come up.

I suppose another comparison could be made with Opeth. The nature of progressive metal means this doesn't always hold true as the music changes a lot (and thus the style of instrumentals, general feel of the music and the musicians etc. also change). However, for songs like The Grand Conjuration or Master's Apprentice maybe a comparison could be made.

    It is very opinion-based though.
