*I ment making your FPS higher, not lower.*

So i get an average of 20FPS in game. I play at 1440x900 resolution, with the lowest graphics settings. What else can i do to reduce lag and boost FPS?

Play in full screen and lower the resolution, but honestly 20 FPS is pretty damn good compared to what I deal with. Generally when you lag it has to do with your internet connection.

Play at the lowest resolution possible. Resolution can make a HUGE impact on your fps.

With those computer specs how can you have problems? That is prolly 3 times better then my 8 year old computer. You must have a bad video card. I get 25 when I am playing. But when I go into Dalaran I get like 3 and 15 when I go into org

My laptop is absolute shite and I get 60fps regularly on minimum settings but max distance settings.

It must be your graphic settings. With computer specs like that, it's the only thing holding you back.

I also play in windowed 1024x768.

Just out of curiosity, do you know what your GFX card is? Because you seem to have an awesome lot of tech...At least $2000 worth.

Nah thats probably like 1500$ thesedays.

Just buy a decent GPU or wait for DX11 cards..
If u dont want to wait, HD4870 1GB should do fine.

LOL! Oh my god, yeah right. You should stop lying. I've got a pretty high quality gaming system, I built from scratch and I've never seen anything over 60-70. You really should stop.

'high quality' is a subjective term. WoW's system requirements were just average in 2004, and now are laughable as we head into 2010. It's not hard to get 200FPS in much higher spec games, so WoW should be a joke. Please, sit down.

My brother built his own computer... He has to limit the FPS he gets in many games and he normally leaves it at like 200... >_>.

Playing fullscreen is a big impact, probably not having a lot of running programs, lowering the resolution. Honestly I have a Nividia GEforce 6800 and I'm going at 40 fps with most things on highest settings, so please enlighten us with what your vid card is.

And for everyone else.. I also have DSL internet, not cable or FiOS. How big of a difference is this.

Your fps is purely computer based not network, You probably should just get a better graphics card(hard if your a laptop person).

I have a nvidia 8600 gt and it works fine on medium/high settings I get 75 fps pretty much all the time.

Decreasing the resolution and playing on fullscreen will speed up the fps.
