It's book of knowledge again and here is another free guide.
I don't like selling guides and all my guides will remain free.
As normal, my guides are available to download if you would like to keep a copy just click on the file attachment on the bottom of this post, no pictures are included as the file size is too large. If you want images just save them off this post then paste them into the word document.

A little about myself is that My first post on Sythe was a guide .

However there is one piece of information I will not reveal during the guide and it is to what secret world I use, you will find out about that during the guide.

Don't worry you will be able to find alot more just hopping through 50 members worlds only takes 30 minutes if you do not click login as soon as you change worlds and wait 10 seconds. If you click on it instantly it will give you around 30 seconds time to wait. There are also free to play worlds.

1) Introduction
Book of Knowledge:
This is a guide to Merchanting through the Grand Exchange system.
This is not a guide that tells you to “buy” low and “sell” high with items low in demand and high in supply. This guide will however teach you how to make money and have fun while laughing at the great deal you got. The guide will be short and I will be assuming you know how to use the Grand Exchange. Anyway enough chat let’s carry on.

2) Method

Using the Grand Exchange is simple; you can sell your items to other players and buy items from other players. There are a few limitations; you cannot sell your item for 5% more or less in the market price range. There is also a way pass that. RuneScape updates its Grand Exchange prices on the current supply and demand through the world and generally throughout the whole of RuneScape.
It’s simple; visit your Grand Exchange price database through the RuneScape site.
Search for items with high prices as a small percentage can mean a huge profit. E.g. 10% of 100 are 10, 10% of 1,000,000 are 100,000.
Once you found your desired item, you will travel to a world, which does not have its prices updated or has lower prices. Have a scan throughout the worlds.​

Note: A world that I use always seems to be one to two days behind in its prices.



Method continued

Now, purchase the item in the world where the prices are not updated make sure the change in price has increased, so now you are purchasing the item at the price before it increased so you are profiting the increase in the price. Surely the item must be in the Grand Exchange system for sale at the price you are buying at, don’t worry someone in that world is bound to offer that item for sale as they should not know about the price differences throughout the world. Purchase the item, don’t forget to change to an updated world and then sell the item for market price, you just made 10% profit. If you sell for low you make a 5% profit, sell for high and you make 15% profit as the item can only rise or fall 5% each time or day.​

Note: My method is to purchase a Bandos Hilt in the world for the lowest price, if it is a LootShare world there must be a Bandos team there in the God Wars dungeon using LootShare. This means that if they receive the Bandos Hilt at the dungeon their team or clan would automatically offer the item for sale at the lowest price in the current world or server, this means you earn more! You can do this to any lootshare world, then buy a GodSword blade for medium or low and use it on the hilt. This means you purchased the GodSword at the low price if you purchased the blade at minimum, if market you only paid around 40,000 above the minimum price. You can resell the Sword for medium or high for good profits!

Tips:
1)Don’t forget to sell your items in an updated world
2)If you can’t find a non-updated world, read, “note” in method continued.
3)The world I use is a lootshare world, this is a hint
4)During an update try logging onto different worlds, some will not allow you to log in and some will. The ones that let you log on are the worlds that will not be updated. Keep an eye out for that.

You can do it with any other items, such as Dragon boots or a Rune Scimitar. Just make sure the prices are not updated in the other world and that the price is higher in the updated worlds and you will make easy profits as you buy it at the previous prices.

I must be doing something wrong because I went through ALL 28 Members Lootshare worlds and there was NO UNUPDATED prices. I'm not sure what I did wrong but I went through them ALL. So if you have any advice that you can post here please do.

I actually found an unupdated world, but noone was selling anything like bandos or sara's. Too good to be true i g uess

Thanks, You should search all members worlds. The world does not have to be a lootshare world, it is better if it is a lootshare world because that way you can get bandos and items that would be lootshared for minimum price.

Patients young grass hopper, what prices were you paying. Even if you pay for max you should still make a profit. It also depends on your world population and if there are any lootsharing teams, as stated on the RuneScape lootshare knowledge base; the item will be sold at minimum price in that world if they recieve it, just wait for the team to get the item first.

During a system update try to find worlds with higher population numbers, if you can logon to that world it is most likley not going to be updated.

 

Awesome guide, but one question. I only have 1.3M, so is there anything I can merchant, or should I just wait until I have enough money to buy more expensive things like godswords? Please answer ASAP =P

 

I am very sorry if I seem skeptical by saying the following. I have tried all of the members worlds (yes, 2 to 162) and have not found a single world with prices that are not updated, I have checked with a bandos godsword hilt and a santa hat, bandos hilts went down 940k on the day that I checked, and santas had risen 400k, yet there was not one world with a different price on either item. If book of knowledge could please explain to me why I have gone through every single world and not found unupdated prices, I would appreciate it. I have 20M rsgp and I am eager to use this method on santa hats and eventually godswords.

How do u know when a world is not updated?

 

Yes, check for items that have made an increase in price in the past day. Buy the item and resell in the world that has the updated price. Of course this means you are selling it for more. I suggest searching for dragon boots prices or items in the 200k-400k price margin so you can buy more than one of the item and make a decent profit. Remember quantity is better. The more of the item you have, the more the profits add up and the more you can make as the more you can buy ;p

There is no need to be sorry! This guide is here for free and if you dislike it, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it.
You may have come across a situation where the worlds have all been updated, so basically maybe Jagex found out about those worlds at the time and updated them, there will be un-updated worlds soon anyway *usually after a system update*. I doubt that is the case though. you have to enter the grand exchange and type in the item in there and look at the prices and compare it with the site database. Type the worlds you checked into a notepad document to keep track, that is a method I use and it never fails me ;p

P.S Look at the Bandos godswords price patterns, they drop and rise...Are they are going to drop for a bit and then rise like crazy? maybe you should buy one when they drop several mils more...

You won't know which world, you will have to find it.

Thanks for your response book, ill try again some time. I hand wrote all of the worlds and checked against eachother, wound up with a page full of X's lol. Oh well, it'll work after an update!
