Hello,

As you may already be aware that I am making guides and giving them free to you so you can get the best out of your RuneScape playing sessions.

I don't really like people selling their guides to making 50million in 5 minutes and it takes them about 1-2 days to sell one guide for 1million. This shows that they still need money and their guide doesn't work, so there is something for you to look out for.

Basic Money Making Guide

Method one:

Step one: Go to the shanty pass, Purchase desert robe, desert robe top, desert boots, 4 filled waterskins, and the usual shanty pass. Make your way to the travel merchant and travel to bedabin camp.
Note: Make sure you have equipped your pickaxe, the desert robes and your ring of dueling. Also make sure that you have 100gp in your inventory with the filled waterskins.​

Step two: Run southerly until you see a hill, run around it then Southwest, you should see a quarry. Find a place with more than one granite ore. Start mining the ore. When you mine the ore you will either obtain: 500g granite, 2kg granite, 5kg granite. Drop the 2kg granite and 5kg granite. Continue to repeat this process until you have a full load of 500g granite ores.
Note: When you have finished your waterskins drop them to make more room for more granite ores.​

Step three: Once you have a full load of granite ores, operate your ring of dueling and then run south back to the shanty pass. Store your granite ore and restock your inventory with the items in step one.
Note: Simply repeat this process from step one every time you bank. When your ring of dueling has finished do NOT forget to equip a new one.​

Information on method one: 500g blocks of granite ores are currently priced at 1800gp-2100gp each. This is fairly fast money as they are quick to mine. You will get approximately 54,600gp per inventory with the granites current average price. An inventory takes approximately 5-10 minutes. The granite ores sell instantly on max price.

Method two:

Step one: Simply have your magic book on lunar magic, equip a water staff and collect the required runes for teleports to Waterbirth Island and Catherby.
Note: Buying some teleportation tablets to Varrock will save you time when traveling back to the Grand Exchange. Using group teleportation spells will give more magic experience than the single teleportation spells. There is also not much difference in the runes as you have a water staff. This experience will add up in the end and maybe raise your magic level!​

Step two: Teleport yourself to Waterbith Island and you will see some Snape grass. These spawn fast, simply stand on one side of the boat and collect the Snape grass. Once you have a full load teleport yourself back to Catherby, and bank the Snape grass.
Note: Simply repeat this step until you want to sell the Snape Grass. Teleport group spells might teleport unwanted people with you to Waterbith Island who may start collecting the Snape grass.​

Information on method two: Snape grass currently sells for 300-450gp each. This money is extremely fast as the Snape grass spawns at a fast rate and there are six spawns on the map. You will get approximately 8,760gp per inventory of Snape grass; this data has been collected with the amount of runes in your inventory. An inventory takes approximately 1-2 minutes. The Snape grass does NOT sell instantly on max price, but does sell instantly on the low and market prices.

Method three:

Step one: Make your way to Lumbridge swamp, which is located underneath Lumbridge. Use your rope on the hole, and then enter. You will be prompted with a warning screen which will ask if you are prepared to go in there without a tinderbox, answer yes and you will now be in Lumbridge dungeon.
Note: Make sure your Bulls-eye lantern is lit. Make sure you have some anti-poison potions with you and ways to exit such as a Varrock teleportation tablet. Do NOT forget your armor, weapons and food.​

Step two: Toggle your run option to “On” and quickly make your way deeper into the dungeon until you see several Cave slime monsters. Simply attack them and kill them, they have 25 hitpoints so they are fairly easy to kill. Once you have killed the cave slime, pick up the swamp tar left behind. Cave slimes drop 1-9 swamp tar each time. When a Cave slime attacks, you will be poisoned instantly, just drink a dose of your anti-poison potion. When you have run out of food and anti-poison potions, teleport to Varrock using your teleportation tablet. Start from step one and repeat until you feel like you had enough.
Note: Drink an anti-poison whenever you need to. Do not let it take too much food. Anti-poison pots keep you immune to poison for a short period of time. Make sure you pick up the swamp tar.​

Information on Method three: Swamp tar currently sells for 235-290gp each. You will collect on average approximately 1000-swamp tar every half an hour. This is not so fast but you are also rewarded with combat experience along with some money.
You earn approximately 275,000gp per every half an hour. Swamp tar does sell on its max price but it usually takes 5-10 minutes.

Tips:
1. Try avoiding spending too much when earning money as this means your gross profit will be less.
2. Every second counts, as they will all add up in larger amounts of time, which could have earned you that extra million!
3. Do not forget those essential items you need as this wastes a lot of time going back to get it and it may also waste some money.

free world players? just something i thought id point out.

 

Good point, but money making in free to play is much more simple as there is not many options so many players already know the free to play methods.

GWD is the best way i know of as to making $$ now and days. saradomin is the best. as hilt drops are not so rare.
