Bonus xp weekend. How does it work?

I wasnt here for the last ones, how exactly does it work?

You log in with a 2.7 exp rate. All exp you get (that is elligible) will be boosted by this much. After about 10-15 minutes, it'll drop to 2.55. It continues dropping until it hits 1.1. I believe it takes 6 hours total to drop to 1.1.

EDIT: nevermind it takes 10 hours. The first bonus weekend was bugged at 6 hours.

Yeah your quote beat me to it. The first weekend was bugged and dropped faster. I didn't play the second one.

 

KerokerCola is correct. Although, your bonus rate starts off at x2.7 and then will gradually work its self down every 30 minutes to the point where it stops at x1.1. It takes 10 Hours to get to x1.1.

Simple math - 600 Minutes playtime / 60 minutes in an hour = 10 hours.

 

By the way, if your train summoning you only receive 1.1x more experience and if you train dungeoneering you don't receive more tokens than usual, even though you receive extra experience. So, I wouldn't advise you to train either of those skills during bonus xp weekend. Good luck.

 

It also doesn't work with Prayer on gilded altars.

i think the weekend is the 9th of september although i may be wrong, and ill probably be doing some smithing/summoning or agility.

 

I think around the 9-11th of September.

Good Luck to Everyone! I'll be doing fletchzoringz. I'm at 87 now. I'll be doing magics for the first 30 minutes I believe. I know it's expensive, but for the first 30 minutes, i'll get like 350k fletching exp! Haha. So I'm pretty stoked!
