    Hey guys.

I'm looking at buying a new phone. At first I was thinking of an iPhone, but they are pretty expensive and I already have an iPod, so many features (Such as the app store) would be pointless to me.

So I decided to look into blackberry phones, and I found a pretty decent 24 month contract.

    £25 Per Month
    - Free Blackberry 9700 Bold
    - 300 Minutes
    - Unlimited texts and wifi
    - 500MB monthly Data Allowance (3G)

Would you recommend this 'tariff'? Has anyone ever had this phone? If so, is it any good?

    Thanks!

Can you tell me the original price of the phone w/o a plan?

There are plenty of them on ebay for around 175-350 dollars (New in box). I suspect they're much more expensive direct from a dealer, however.

OT: Phone Plans are kinda iffy in my opinion, if you lose or damage the phone you're obligated to pay out the plan.

    Suggested retail $450 (£300)

I'm generally pretty careful with my phones etc. You can pay an extra £7.50 per month for full insurance, but I probably won't be getting that. If I do lose or damage it, they send you a new sim free, so I can use my old phone with the same plan.

After seeing the Iphone 4 I wouldn't recommend getting any type of BlackBerry.

The iPhone also comes with a hefty price tag, and I already have an iPod touch, so there's not a lot of point.

Do not get a Blackberry, most of them are crashing. I was going to get one, but all my friends have one and said they keep crashing when using them, so I've decided just to keep my iPhone.

Isn't the Curve cheaper than the 9700 Bold? You can get any of the blackberrys for free with the contract, or pay an extra one-time payment of £99 for the Storm.

By crashing, how do you mean? Just randomly turning off, or breaking completely?

It freezes. You have to take the battery out and turn it back on.

T-Mobile offer some good offers, this is ok, take it if you think it will help your everyday needs. :)
