Hey, Sythe members! I've been trying to log onto my laptop for a bit now, and it just shows a black screen with a cursor. I've tried going on safe mode, it just shows a black screen too. I can access Ctrl+alt+del, but it doesn't show the task manager option. Im on my phone atm so yeah. Thanks in advance!

Do you have the disc, if you do put it in and do a repair and it will let you keep all your files. It's a known problem for a few people, some people call it the black screen of death. If you don't have the disc then you're probably going to have to reformat the hard drive and start a fresh with a clean install. It could be a virus, have you downloaded anything dodgy lately.

Unfortunately, I don't have the disc. I have important files for graphics that I don't want to lose. Are there any other solutions?

I don't want to lose any of my files. I also found a solution using BIOS, but when I enter BIOS and click on my USB flash, it does nothing. Any idea why it's doing that?

I Think you should contact your computers support because that has happened to me like 10 times in the past 2 years and the computer support always helped me fix the problem :)

If you cant restore it via safe mode, and you're unwilling to reformat and lose your GFX work; take it to a comp specialist, see if they can help.

Fixed this without deleting a file from my laptop. Thanks for the help, guys. Can be closed!
