Black Ops thread

Them client sided servers were terrible... host's with 56k internet -.- That's why so many people hated MW2, because of the mega lag that it had to offer.

 

I am really looking forward to the theater it's long over due.

 

The host selection in MW2 was the worst in any shooter recently.

 

the game has potential, but people will whore out guns like the crossbow and the flameprower.

 

Obviously we'll discover which guns work pretty fast, so I bet the rush of people using stupid weapons will die off fast.

 

Appearantly the famas is a automatic gun now, idk if that's gonna turn out bad or not. The maps are all gonna be pretty small and close cornered, so there isn't gonna be much camping really tbh. All the perks don't stack up so it's not gonna be overpowered hopefully! you can still quick scope even without sleight of hand pro i think. also the new like chopper gunner or whatever is not gonna have like that thermal stuff, it is gonna look like that chopper gunner in the spec op mission big brother so it's gonna be kinda hard to find people.

 

It's going to be back to CoD4 quick scoping. We will see who actually knows what they are doing with it.

What I don't understand is why they made SoH pro have the same pro perk yet not let it benefit snipers. They should have made it a different pro benefit.

 

The FAMAS was originally a high RoF automatic weapon; as to why it's a three bullet burst weapon in MW2 is beyond me.

I read somewhere that quickscoping was nigh removed almost. It's time to stop abusing in-game mechanics one way or another.

Good, chopper gunner was fucking stupid. Now it won't be spawn kill heaven.

 

Now 11 killstreak is a Gunship, not sure what that will be like. They also added dogs back in, but instead of 7 it's 11 too.

I also agree it's good that they are putting the FAMAS on full auto for this game.

If they have acog in this game, it will just be back to CoD4 quickscoping. However, the difference is that the crosshairs do not ever get smaller until you are completely scoped in. So no more of that half scoping in for crosshairs of an AR.

 

I have already pre ordered it, can't wait till it comes out.

The FAMAS should have never been a burst weapon... Seriously, it's noted for high RoF and is a fan favorite. Who at IW said "alright, let's change everything about it.

 

Nobody understands why call of duty is so bad. Everybody wants a realistic game and then when a realistic game comes out they say one gun is overpowered and blah blah blah. Holding 2 shotguns (1887s) would have atleast the range they did pre-patch. Closer to double that. It would be unfair but more realistic. Throwing knives wouldn't kill you but lets face it they're not the easiest thing to use so they warrant a kill. The creators of the game aren't the problem. Just because Treyarch is making the game doesn't mean it will be better. The problem with call of duty is the community. Cod4 got better when mw2 came out (nobody liked WaW) and the same thing will happen with mw2 when black ops comes out. The people who hate the kids who actually think they only have one life will stay back.

edit: quick scoping will be great. No slight of hand and almost always 1 shot kills and less damage from getting rushed. So now the bad kids who started on mw2 will cry because they can't get a kill. One more thing, everything kills so fast in MW2 because of stopping power. Since there is none, mods are gonna give people a HUGE advantage with semi-auto guns. And yes some people can shoot fast, I can too; the difference is most people get shitty accuracy when they focus everything on pulling the trigger. Thats the difference between mods and fingers.

 

CoD4 starter here FTW? But in Black Ops I think I'm going to lean away from sniping. And actually, I quite enjoyed WaW, especially war mode.

The shotguns on Mw2 aren't near realistic. The closest is the spas, which of course everyone cries about being OP along with the 87's. If they made shotties realistic, that's all this game would be.

Though, after thinking about it and playing CoD4 recently, I've realized that all the kiddies who will completely ruin every CoD are going to move on. I'm leaning towards staying on Mw2.

One bite kill dogs seem a little overkill, but then again killstreaks don't stack so only the people that know what they are doing will get them.

I know the FAMAS is full auto, and I don't know why it's a burst gun either. If I move on I'd like to see how that turns out

 

now you got the idea theres two types of people and the creators can't meet both sets of demands lets face it, real life is balanced. Speaking of which isn't "black ops" all about being unbalanced by using stealth tactics and high tech equipment?

 

Supposed to be, but that wouldn't make for a very fun game would it?

 

The community has taken a drastic drop in quality since WaW's realease.

 

It should be much better than MW2. I've pre-ordered it already.

 

If you think it dropped then, it was alot better pre-CoD4.

 

To be honest, if you get killed by dogs you deserve it. They make so much sound, they run up at you, all you have to do is have decent timing and knife them. It's really not that hard, the dogs are used to weed out the bad players and get massive kills lol.

@The FAMAS comment, it doesn't really matter to me if its automatic now, they probably increased recoil and kickback by a shit ton and made it less accurate. I think I heard they might have an attachment for it to make it burstfire to make it more accurate.

Also, Treyarch is developing Black Ops not IW. IW only made the modern warfare series.

Dogs don't kill people in one bite, but then again, CoD isn't about realism. My point about dogs being one bite killers mainly revolves around the online aspect. Nothing designed offline works 100% online, it's the case for about every game.

The FAMAS isn't noted for high recoil... It's a fast-firing, low-recoil bullpup assault rifle.

I'm well aware that BO is being made by Treyarch. The "who at IW" comment was about making the FAMAS burst fire in MW2.
