Black Mesa Released

So Black Mesa was released today to the public, it's free and available to download worldwide.

Note you will need to download Source SDK 2007 via Steam to play this, not to mention having Steam itself to play.

For those who don't know - Black Mesa is essentially a remake of Half Life 1 from 1998, but with improved graphics, sounds and so on.

Thoughts? Was it worth the wait? Has anyone played it yet?

 

Honestly, I've never heard of it, and am glad you posted this. I will download it and let you know what I think about it. Thanks for introducing me to a new game .

 

The Black Mesa team were not impressed ith Half-Life source,because it was just the same Half-life game ported to the source engine

The black mesa team recreated it with models of better quality and such.

It's a shame that it took s long to be released, since the source 2007 engine is pretty old now. Olus, the black mesa tea, have no plans to use newer versions f the source engine.

Mevertheless, it's still a cool game, and I'm glad that if finally came out after years lf waiting
