Will bitcoin be overtaken by another currency?

In the future, do you see another cryptocurrency taking over bitcoin?

 

probably, i see BTC dwindling down slowly but surely. everything evolves and new things come out. there will probably be something similar, im not sure if it will have impact like BTC. it's so hard to say with BTC about any sort of future >.>

 

If so, there would have to be a draw away from bitcoin and towards the new currency. Should another currency arise and draw users of bitcoin towards this new currency, I'd be very curious as to what exactly that draw is.

 

I don't think BTC will be overtaken anytime soon, it's already established itself as being the #1 cryptocurrency and really put cryptocurrencies as a whole on the map.
Litecoin had a short run but slowly fizzled out, I remember when it was around $23 per, now it's gone down to a mere $2.93, so I think there is a lack of competition right now when it comes to CC's.

I can't see it happening anytime soon :s

 

Doubt it. Not unless something bad happens to BTC.
