Hello, I did not want to make this report public because I know Secnx is legit but we cannot come to a resolution and I was told by a staff member privately to make it public.

I had planned to buy 32B RS3 from Secnx via BTC for $572, using his livechat. After discovering the fees were high, we opted for USDC instead.

Secnx's instructions were to send "ERC-20" so I used Base which supports ERC-20 to send the USDC.

We did some investigating and concluded it somehow it got lost, even though on both ends we confirmed that:

1.) I sent the money: Address 0x1eb3c60ef1f68bc8c8882b5409b7e7531513461b | BaseScan

2.) He didn't receive the money: Address 0x1eb3c60ef1f68bc8c8882b5409b7e7531513461b | Etherscan

I contacted Coinbase support to try and find out what may have happened and they were useless.

Secnx contacted Binance and after a little digging, we discovered that Binance doesn't support base, so livechat told him the money is stuck in limbo until they support Base.

They said check back in within a few weeks, however I am pessimistic that Binance will ever support Base because Coinbase and Binance are fierce competitors and known archnemesis's so it sounded like a fluke just to get Secnx off the livechat.

I am requesting that Secnx takes responsibility for this because I followed his exact instructions, which was to send to his ERC-20 wallet. It is also completely impossible for me to have known that he was using Binance before I sent the money so I feel there is no reasonable responsibility of DD on my part. If Secnx wasn't using Binance, or a wallet that doesn't support base (which supports ERC-20), none of this would've happened.

Using Binance ERC-20, Secnx should be aware of what wallets do or don't have the capabilities to send or receive money, so I'm requesting that he takes responsibility for this. I have no qualms with this guy, and know hes legit but would like this resolved. Thank you

There is an implicit assumption that the transaction would occur on the ETH mainnet, as this is the global standard and most widely supported method for ERC-20 token transfers. Layer 2 solutions are not universally supported due to their technical requirements. So I would have stated otherwise if I expected the transaction to occur on the L2.

If the payment is ever released (binance accepts Base) I would like the second half as me and Secnx agreed on. He can then give the other half to himself and we both will be made fully whole. Hopefully that's the outcome that comes of all of this.
