I JUST GOT INSTA BANNED IN 30 SECS AFTER BUYING 900M

Guys i wanted to post this to get some opinions about wtf just happened... i just bought 900m on an account that has NEVER bought gold before. I have bought gold heaps but always use other accounts... not sure if that could be the reason.. but either way.. after receiving the gold via trade i teleported to duel arena and instantly got logged out.. i tried to log in to find i was perm banned for RWT!
This all went down in less than 30 seconds.. Can anyone help me understand how i was so quickly banned..?

i mean its clearly manual as the detection system isnt that good, and the seller would have to be banned as well if you got banned

The seller was a pretty well kown seller from sythe with over 5500 vouches.. i bought 900m and within 30 secs with force logged from my acc and perm banned. Paid $500 aud. I messaged the seller instantly and was told his account is fine and had 2.2b on it.. who knows if that is the truth but me the BUYER was defiantly instantly banned. I always thought that RWT bans were abit of a myth.. and that jagex only banned the biggest of the ******** for this kinda stuff, but it seems not. Good fight my money and account! be careful!

 

wow, iv'e never heard of this type of ban happening after trading gold.. my guess would be that the account you were on, or the IP you were on had been flagged and was set to be auto-banned upon recieving any gold amount above a certain threshold

 

wouldn't this be exactly the reason why it wasn't manual? this is a justification for it to be a system-based thing, there was definitely a flag on the account, or the gold that was being traded

 

also, what combat level was your account?

 

Really have no clue at all.. i will add another peice to this puzzle, i was at the duel arena the account that was banned was a maxed staking account. My pure account that is 7years + old had all my gp on it so first i traded my staker 350M and then after i lost that i traded it a further 500M and sadly enough i lost that too which is what caused me to purchase the 900m.. usually i would have used my 7 year old pure but i was in a rush so i went to the GE to receive the gold on my staking account that has NEVER received gold before in any sort of gold purchase! so the account that was banned received 850m 15 minutes earlier and had no issues with being banned but as soon as i received this 900M from this seller i was banned as quick as it takes you to teleport to the duel arena and hop worlds. I am still filthy on this situation and wish jagex would not fuck me out of $500 just like that and am wondering if i used my 7 year old account if this would have happened.. hoping someone else with experience can jump on this thread.

 

dude same thing happened to me.... literally this morning perm ban on my main for rwt smh.

 

Unfortunately there is always the risk of being banned when real world trading on runescape. I think jagex is cracking down on staker bans though.

 

is there any evidence to prove your second statement other than this thread, i don't see any difference in the number of stakers in the duel arena or scammers there lol

 

Sorry to hear you lost out on a fair amount of cash. I've never been banned buying gold and have ALWAYS used fresh level 3 accounts to receive it on and not once have I been banned. Although it has always crossed my mind if I would, but never have. I as well always was under the assumption Jagex only bans the sellers, not buyers - but clearly not...

 

I think he is right, last couple of days 3 of my max mains I rent out for staking got banned. Before that bans were very super rare

 

Dual arena kinda seems dead. I believe they're targeting the nmz prod stakers right now. this is just from talking to a few of my friends who have stakers that they rent out.

 

I've actually noticed the arena being pretty dead at certain times lately so I'm sure more people are getting banned. I'd like to think you just got unlucky because very rarely do I hear about people getting banned for buying.
