Uncensor my site's name

Hi,

I'd like to request that my site be uncensored. I won't post the name, but yeah, it's censored. I don't see why I'm not allowed to advertise it in my signature, as I specifically asked Govind when I was a moderator if I could advertise it, and he said not as a staff member. Well I'm not a staff member, and I'd like to place a small link in my signature.

I had nothing to do with the supposed spamming of the URL to PMs (Yaroow and DJ asked me about this).

 

I don't support the removal, you have always had benign intentions, but some of your members have no aversion to break sythe's rules to promote their forum

You're right, my intentions were never bad. I can honestly say I never once even posted the URL on Sythe. This was most likely done during the original release due to referral competitions that we held. This is over, and it shouldn't be a problem anymore.

All I really want is possibly to advertise it in my signature. There will be no "rerun", and I will try my best to keep people from spamming it.

Well why exactly was it censored in the first place? I just had a quick browse on it, I can't see anything that would suggest it's dangerous or anything, aside from a fair few banned users on there.

 

The URL was spam advertised a while back through PMs I guess.

 

Who was doing that?

I know why it was censored, and it wasn't due to that thread. I want it to be uncensored.

 

Did you ask a Global to check the IP's on one of the PMs that were being spammed? Then again it was probably a banned user / user was on a proxy.

The site doesn't seem malicious much, aside from the banned users on here that exist on there. The rules are similar to there also i.e. scamming is forbidden and such.

I say try uncensoring it for a bit, and if it starts getting spammed again then just re-add it to the censor and call it a day. That's if the site being spammed through PMs is the only reason it was censored in the first place.

 

Globals don't release IPs anymore, so I wasn't able to check who it was.

But yeah, this. If it gets spammed, just re-add it. Ultimately it's up to staff, but meh.

I don't see anything wrong with it being uncensored, its really no different than linking somebody to ownedcore, epicnpc, powerbot, or mmoexchange.

 

Except for the fact it was mass-pm'd to advert.

 

I had nothing to do with that. If it's mass-PMed any more then censor it forever, I'd just like for it to be given another shot.

I'll remove it, but the instant it starts getting adverted via PM's again, it goes right back on.
