Best VPS to bot Wbot on?

About to make 6 member accounts, just need a good VPS and I'm set

wbot specifically, I know there are lots of threads out there already, just want to know which system specifications people have used for 07 wbot, not just VPS's in general

 

A computer is a computer. Specs are specs. Hardware is hardware.

Computers are not made specifically to run specific programs/bots, as in
There's not going to be a VPS specifically made to run WBot better than others.

Run 1 Wbot on your comp, see how much RAM/CPU it takes, multiply it by 6, and that's the specs you'll need to run 6.

Use the threads in the search link to see which VPS people tend to find best.

 

I understand everything you are saying here. I remember seerhost had vps that had bot clients loaded onto them already. I get that their is nothing like that for wbot right now.

I've used photon vps in the past and I remember using a guide here on Sythe to download and set up my bots on that VPS and without a GUIDE I would have been lost. You had to go into terminal, know how to set up and login into the vnc viewer, download the vnc, etc....

So not sure if this should be a separate thread, but do you know where I should go to get the knowledge/know how to do this?

I guess my first step to should to get a vps and then just try to download the bot and set it up and see how far I get. But would hate to buy a vps that one wouldn't be able to bot on. (Some VPS block RS botting because it takes up a lot of their resources) I know barely anything but a VPS is like one little node on a long chain of nodes off a main server right? Something like that...

 

Have you found yet? I also need help with that.

 

I purchased a 4gig vps from Fragvps.com for 24.95$ yesterday and it was set up instantly with rsbot and Simba installed, took a second to download wbot and i was ready to go. So thats what I would suggest! Wish wbot did randoms..

 

Im using the same vps, can be a little glitchy at times. great VPS though.

and the randoms should be implemented shorty

 

Which Model did you purchase? And I know know wbot is down now, maybe when it comes back up it will do randoms.. JK haha!

What do you think is better, having 2 4gig vps or 1 8gig?

I think if randoms get figured out some more within the week I'll upgrade to the Mega one with 10gig SSD and 8 cores !!!
