Best Slayer Set-Up for Quick Xp + Kills?

Hey guys, I'm trying to get to 99 slayer. Almost at the half way point... trying to get a feel of what the best armor is now that EoC is in full control of the game. I haven't done Slayer since EoC.

So what's the best gear? Keep in mind I have maxed out prayer + herb and a ton of overloads banked, so they can be utilized.

What armor should I use? Money NOT an issue. Does not have to be the best or most expensive, just the most efficient.

Cannon will be utilized on appropriate tasks as well.

 

Well the for fast slayer task I just recommend that you wear weapons/gear that counters the task.

So if you have any task that involves range get the best range gear you can.
Don't go hybrid like torva helm/legs and pernix top, doing that will lower accuracy on range.

Best gear would be the higher level ones.
So the PoP armours.

Always use that, and use the best method. What I always do is royal dragonhide for range, mage is ganodermic, and melee is bandos. If I could use PoP armour I'd use that, and I can't afford pernix/torva/virtus, but I'm sure they are better setups.

 

I use the runescape wiki for a guide, it lets you know what to bring for certain monsters in better detail.

My advice is stock up a cannon and use it as often as possible since everything is basically multi-combat now.

On melee tasks, get 100% stamina and use momentum, this allows for consistent hard hits and skills without having to be so tedious.

Whip/enhanced excalibur is how I roll melee wise - but I don't have high enough dung for chaotics or money for those drygore's.

If a monster is weak to bolts , use the crystal bow instead/pernix zaryte 160mil bow Idk the name of right now. It hits consistently better than any crossbow set-ups (aside from royal).

Magic, always use a wand/book when possible, this allows for 2x cast speed, versus using a 2H stick or a wand and a shield would be half as fast.
