Best platform to start botting

Hey guys! I just got back to OSRS after a long break (4+ years). Back when I played, I liked to play around with my own scripts. I learned a bit of script coding at villavu.com & wrote the scripts in Simba. They also had tons of handy tutorials to start from zero.

However, the community looks more or less dead now. What are the top OSRS botting platforms at the moment? And which one would you recommend to get back into script writing?

Any help appreciated!

 

Idk the current trends, but what are you personally wanting to bot/ automate? Maybe continuing where you left of (simba) would suffice?
I don't really believe in very long term botting, for building a main, for example, using your usual TOP 5 botting clients of the market. Just my personal opinion :shrug:

 

I'd like to build a GE flipper bot with multiple accounts support. I might go with Simba however the community is barely active anymore so I might not be able to hire someone to help me if I couldn't write the script or its parts by myself.

Also, I've heard the ban rates are lower with mobile bots, so I'm thinking about this direction since I'm gonna start from scratch anyways.

Btw, do people still bot RS3 heavily? I heard the ban rates have gotten so high there that it's not even worth it anymore.

 

Building a G.E. bot is quite straight forward on popular botting clients. Very easy API to understand. So that's a plus for that.
Writing your own flipper with AHK - or with any other macro-software - can be quite tricky. You have to check for a lot of stuff on screen. Flipper would be a good project though, because it isn't that time-critical (opposed to combat bot, for example), so performance isn't an issue - you can freely let that script double-check for, say, if coins got collected correctly.

 

Yeah, I'm sure this would be one of the easier bots to make. Can you think of a client you'd recommend for this purpose? Also, I need a UI that would allow me to add or delete items to a list and an option to do a price check on the items in the list. Are you writing scripts yourself? Maybe you could help me? I'd be happy to pay someone who's willing to teach me the basics.
