Who got you into Runescape?

My bestfriend in middle school showed me RS. Fast forward to now, he doesn't play anymore, I do. Pretty funny.

Who got you into rs? Or how did you find out about rs?

 

Similar story to yours. My best friend in elementary school showed me Runescape. He doesn't play anymore either, but he ended getting my entire school addicted and some friends from then still play now.

 

My cousin introduced me to it that was when I created my first account but didn't play, the next year some classmates were talking about the game so I decided to make a new account a play, now me and a friend that introduced me still play.

Same exact story, except he find it hilarious I'm on the verge of having a maxed account. Sadly, it probably won't be enough to convince him to play once again with me. I have an account lined up for him and all but he's not diggin' the whole idea.

Friend of mine showed me it back in 2004-2005, he stopped playing years ago but I still talk to him from time to time. I remember getting addicted to shit on it.

My brother's friend showed him and he showed me (this is when I was in second grade, I believe). It was a big thing in our neighborhood at the time. :3

 

I saw someone playing this game yeeaars ago and it looked like one of those cute kind of games back then so I gave it a try. Played along with the guy for a little bit everytime I went to the library(this was before I had my own internet) for about a year I guess and then I stopped seeing him. Idk if he still plays because the account I knew him on had since stopped leveling for over 5-6 years now.

 

I was browsing miniclip and it was #1. So i decided to play it, and i always liked the midevil times and it was somewhat like that. So i got hooked. Then i showed my cousins, 1 of them played for a month then quit. Then showed my best friend. He has quit 3 times, but i always keep bringing him back. muahahaha

Sometime during 3rd grade my cousin showed me his account when he had just started. We played on our grandmas ancient Windows 95 desktops (the ones with the massively large, bulky monitors. 3rd grade would have been 2003 for me, so that was right around the time I moved to a new town. I found out one of my new neighbors (2nd grade, a year younger than I) played it, and he started to let me share his member's account. We were such noobs we didn't even finish dragon slayer @ lvl 74 combat lol. Played it into junior high, met some friends who were into it. Went to boarding school in 8th grade, and met a shitton of kids who played or had played. Stopped playing after boarding school until late 2009 after my head injury. Started playing, then botting, then gold selling, and then I visited my boarding school to see some of the people I knew there, and met Mike, this kid who was about to graduate. Talked with him about RS, found out he plays a lot lol. I told him about RiD (IRL conversation), and he joined shortly after he graduated (we weren't allowed to use the computers for games/facebook/etc). Ended up selling him over 400$ of gold via check, getting him into botting. Ironically this "nerd" actually helped me a lot with picking up chicks, he and I would work together to give each advice or shit to say (He gave me all the advice I needed to lose my virginity, I owe him bigtime). He ended up buying Payton's (super mod @ RiD) maxed pure (with over 15 99s) for ~600$. He and I talked in-game a lot, and he even had me quest on his account (It's well worth over ~700$ or so), then he ruined it and hasn't really played much since. I don't know anyone I've met IRL who still plays these days now I intend to show this game to my children if it still exists by then, that is lol. Maxed account here I come

 

Neighborhood kid. I was at his house one day after school playing Tony Hawk and Need for Speed. He wanted me to check out this new game he found out about, watched him play, looked interesting. Made an account and we played together.

That happened around 05,06.

 

My best friend in 2005, my whole class used to play it. Now they've all quit (like 5 years ago) and I can't stop :laugh:.

 

Close friend of mine (back in 04), used to smith mithril items for me n was so glad haha

 

My best mate in 2006, still really good friends, but he quit in 08.

 

I was hanging out with two of my friends at one of their houses and they went onto runescape.com. I asked, "What is Run Escape?" and he replied, "It's RUNESCAPE."

Later that night I was curious about the game so I created an account and logged on.

7 years later...

 

A guy I didn't really like in school told me about it in 2005.
